Schmackary's Announces BROADWAY BAKES Week, With Corey Cott, Laura Osnes, Jeremy Jordan and More Working Behind the Counter

On Friday and Saturday, May 24th-25th, Schmackary’s will celebrate its first birthday with several special offerings.

“We’ve baked over 40 cookie flavors in our first year and we’ll be serving our top 12 selling flavors of the year like Key Lime Pie, Carmel Apple Crisp, Red Velvet and our infamous Maple Bacon all weekend,” Schmahl said. “Come wish us Happy Birthday and share your experience on social media! The first 500 people to check in and wish us a happy birthday get their first cookie for $1.” A special birthday box with Schmackary’s dozen best sellers will also be available for the special price of $20.

Schmackary’s will continue its birthday celebration throughout the week of May 27th with many of the top stars on Broadway coming in to work behind the counter. Half the proceeds and all of the tips from this special “Broadway Bakes!” event will be donated to Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. More details to follow later this week on which stars will be working when at Schmackary’s from May 27-31.

Over a dozen Broadway stars have agreed to work behind the counter from 3-6pm all week at Schmackary’s as part of this “Broadway Bakes” event.

Among the stars slated to attend:

  • Seth Rudetsky, Seth’s Broadway Chatterbox
  • Laura Osnes, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (2013 Tony nominee)

  • Benj Pasek, A Christmas Story (2013 Tony nominee)
  • Justin Paul, A Christmas Story (2013 Tony nominee)
  • Celia Keenan-Bolger, Peter and the Starcatcher (Tony nominee), The Glass Menagerie
  • Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Newsies, Tuck Everlasting
  • Corey Cott, Newsies
  • Ben Fankenhauser, Newsies
